Welcome to the DIY Curriculum Homeschooling Summit
Homeschooling doesn’t have to be expensive, stressful, or tied to someone else’s plan.
At Fearless Homeschool, we believe education should never be one-size-fits-all. The DIY Curriculum Summit is your chance to explore how homeschooling can be more flexible, more personalised, and more aligned with the life you want to live.
And for the fraction of the price!
"As a brand new homeschooling mother, this was a great buffet of resources that really helped me gain a greater understanding into the world of homeschooling and was full of value!"

No matter where you are in your homeschooling journey… the DIY Homeschooling Summit has you covered!
Ever wished you could pick the brains of veteran homeschoolers who’ve graduated their kids and navigated every stage (and hiccup) along the way? Or maybe you’d love to hear from parents who are a little closer to where you are now—those who’ve recently tackled the tricky early days of adjusting to homeschooling and found what works?
Well, you’re in exactly the right place…
Thinking about homeschooling?
But think you need to buy a curriculum to help you register?
Good news—you don’t!
Registration doesn’t require thousands of dollars’ worth of textbooks and schedules.
Discover how to meet requirements with confidence and create a personalised learning plan that actually fits your child.
Workshops like Walk through curriculum with me! Walk through curriculum with me (Adele Leach) and Create a Learning Plan Using Free Resources (April Jermey & Beverley Paine) will give you practical steps to design a plan that works.
Join the summit to start your homeschooling journey with confidence. You’ve got this!
New to homeschooling?
The thought of being responsible for a “curriculum” can feel overwhelming, right?
Here’s the thing… boxed or all-in-one curriculum providers can make you feel like you need them to succeed. But that isn’t the only way forward—in fact, it often makes things harder, not easier.
Let us show you how to design a homeschool that’s doable, flexible, and affordable—without locking yourself into something that won’t work long-term.
Even better, you’ll learn how to shape learning around your child’s unique interests, strengths, and needs, so your homeschool actually fits them.
Check out workshops like Less Stress, More Freedom: How Values-Based DIY Beats Boxed Curriculum (Micarle Callea) and How to Choose Your Family’s Perfect Curriculum (Krystel Watts).
Join the summit and start your homeschool journey with confidence, clarity, and a spark of excitement.
Feeling the Homeschool Juggle Getting Heavy?
Overwhelm happens—but it doesn’t have to stay.
You don’t need more work—you need strategies that simplify, streamline, and ease the load.
The DIY Homeschooling Summit will help you cut through the chaos and create a sustainable rhythm that feels lighter and more enjoyable—for you and your kids.
Check out practical sessions like Homeschooling the Whole Bunch: Strategies for Multi-Level Home Education (Shirley Erwee) and Centred on Science (Tamara Kelly).

You’ll enjoy workshops like DIY Family Learning (Penny Graham) and DIY Health Lessons: Teaching Your Child to Successfully Navigate the World Beyond Academics (Aimee Engler).

“From Spine to Study” – building flexible DIY unit studies Unit studies that fit your family, not the other way around
Patricia Fitzgerald
WORKSHOP DETAILS
| Ever wondered how to take a single resource and build it into a rich, engaging unit study that works for all ages? In this session, you’ll learn how to create your own D-I-Y unit studies by using a central “spine” resource as the anchor, then expanding into multi-modal delivery that values input (reading, watching, listening, exploring) over endless worksheets. We’ll explore practical ways to differentiate lessons for different age groups and how AI can be used as a powerful planning partner to spark creativity, streamline lesson building, and lighten your prep load. Whether you’re homeschooling one child or multiple ages, you’ll walk away with a clear framework for creating adaptable, engaging, and sustainable unit studies. |

DIY health lessons: teaching your child to successfully navigate the world beyond academics
Aimee Engler
WORKSHOP DETAILS
We’ll be covering the ‘why, who, and how’ of teaching health to our kids, whether they are just
starting school or have hit the teen years. Although my experience and qualifications lie in teaching
neurodiverse kids, I guarantee that all children, disabled and non-disabled, will benefit from such
learning as social skills, emotional intelligence, executive functions, self-awareness, and the like.
At the end of this session, you will…
1. Understand why teaching your children ‘health’ topics are just as important as academics.
2. Discover how you are already equipped to take on board this learning area. The ‘ who’ is you,
and professionals are optional.
3. Start to formulate your own ‘game plan’ on how to teach based on examples and ideas given.
7:00 PM
How to teach academics, even if you don’t know (or care!) about the content yourself!
Amanda Bartle
WORKSHOP DETAILS
| Think you can’t homeschool because you’re not an expert—or because some subjects just make your eyes glaze over? Think again. In this session, we’ll explore practical ways to teach (and survive) academics even when the topic isn’t your strength or passion. We’ll cover how to decide what to teach, where to find great content, and how to make learning engaging for both you and your child. You’ll discover strategies for learning alongside your kids, outsourcing the subjects you’d rather skip, and choosing self-teaching curriculum that builds independence. Most importantly, we’ll talk about how to uncover joy in surprising places—even in the subjects you never thought you’d enjoy. |

Why maths isn’t like other subjects, and needs to be taught differently
Richard Wilson

Unlike other subjects, it’s structured and sequential, which is why many children struggle with gaps that may remain hidden until later years. In this free webinar, we’ll explore why maths learning is unique, how personalised competency-based learning (PCBL) works, and what research shows about helping your child succeed with confidence
2:00 PM

Join Shirley as she unpacks practical, proven strategies for multi-level homeschooling that work in real homes with real children. You’ll learn how to:
Combine subjects creatively across ages
Juggle home education with babies and toddlers
Maintain a flexible rhythm without chaos
Foster independent learning and sibling collaboration
Set realistic expectations for different developmental stages
Use stories, projects and daily life to teach more than one child at once
