After NINE YEARS of highly successful homeschooling summits… The first TEEN Homeschooling Summit was curated with YOU IN MIND.
Fearless Homeschool created our first summit to bring experienced homeschooling parents and professionals together—sharing their wisdom, tips, and real-life stories with 100’s of families, all from the comfort of home.
It’s been a resounding success. Over the past eight years, more than 9,000 attendees have joined us for over 280 inspiring workshops!
And we’ve been listening.
Again and again, families have asked for more support during the teen years—when things can get more complex, emotions run higher, and the questions about the future start to feel more real. So we created the Teen Homeschooling Summit: a brand new event focused entirely on homeschooling through the high school years.
This summit is packed with practical workshops and real talk about motivation, mental health, academics, friendships, future planning, and everything in between. Whether you’re just entering the teen years or navigating the final stretch, this summit is here to walk alongside you.

The 360 Degree Feedback Perspective – A powerful process for our teens to learn and use in life
Micarle Callea
WORKSHOP DETAILS
Want to equip your teen with a skill used by top leaders and teams worldwide? 360 Degree Feedback is more than a workplace tool—it’s a mindset that teaches teens how to give and receive feedback with clarity, encouragement, insight, and respectful honesty.
In this workshop, we’ll explore how this process helps teens build self-awareness, grow from both praise and constructive input, and better understand how others experience them—skills essential for personal development, healthy relationships, and future career success.
Whether your teen is exploring career options or building confidence in their current passions, this feedback model offers powerful insights. You’ll also learn how to model it at home to support reflection, resilience, and meaningful two-way conversations.

Noah Watts

Inviting Teens into Literature That Challenges and Transforms
Erin Hassett
WORKSHOP DETAILS
How do we choose books that invite deep thought, nurture moral growth, and spark meaningful conversations with our teens? In this session, we’ll explore ways to curate literature that resonates with older learners—stories that expand their worldview, challenge assumptions, and invite them into the big questions of life.
7:00 PM

The pathway to university with the American GED and SAT
Shirley Erwee
WORKSHOP DETAILS
End your child’s home education with an internationally recognised Grade 12 credential that opens doors to further education and gives parents peace of mind that their children have a high school qualification. It’s flexible, affordable, widely recognised by universities and hassle-free, especially compared to most other options.
Day 2 - Wednesday June 11, 2025
10:00 AM

Terrific Teens
Rosie Boom
WORKSHOP DETAILS
Are you dreading the teenage years?
The years when our children change from boy to man, girl to woman, are both exciting and challenging times. As parents we wonder if we’re doing enough to prepare them for adulthood – teach them life skills; navigate relationship turmoils; ensure they succeed with their studies; find the right career; make their bed… In this workshop I’ll offer tips on how we can do all these things (and more!), while staying connected and enjoying our teens.
11:00 AM

FOR THE TEENS
Teen Brain Talk: Understanding the Chaos, Harnessing the Power
Micarle Callea and Billy Rogers
WORKSHOP DETAILS
Ever felt like your emotions are all over the place? Like one minute you’re chill and the next you’re ready to scream—or cry—or both?
That’s not you being “too much.” That’s your brain doing exactly what it’s wired to do right now.
In this session, we’ll break down what’s really going on inside your head:
Why your brain reacts before you can think (and how to deal with it)
What “flipping your lid” actually means (yes, it’s a real thing)
Why you’re drawn to risk, adventure, and big feelings
How your brain is pruning, rewiring, and getting stronger
This isn’t a boring science class—it’s real talk about the brain stuff no one tells you, but you totally deserve to know.
💥 Come get the inside scoop on you—and walk away feeling more in control, not less.
2:00 PM

It’s Not All Up to Them: Rethinking Independence for Homeschooled Teens
Patricia Fitzgerald
WORKSHOP DETAILS
Homeschooling high schoolers doesn’t have to mean handing over the reins completely. While independence matters, not every teen learns best when left to go it alone. In this workshop, we’ll explore how to support teens who still need structure, conversation, and collaboration to succeed.
From one-on-one mentoring to shared projects, co-ops, and online classes, you’ll discover a wealth of options that blend flexibility with support. We’ll talk through how to recognise your teen’s learning needs, strike the right balance between autonomy and connection, and design a homeschool high school experience that’s both engaging and sustainable. Whether your teen thrives in community or simply needs more scaffolding, you’ll leave with practical tools and renewed confidence.
7:00 PM

Raising Teens, Creating Legacy: How Home Education Plants Seeds for Generations
Heidi Conway
WORKSHOP DETAILS
Home educating a teen often feels like you’re just getting through the day — but what if these years are actually the foundation of something far greater? In this session, we’ll explore how the teenage years offer a powerful opportunity to shape identity, purpose, and contribution, and how your everyday connection with your teen is already laying the groundwork for lasting impact.
You’ll discover how to move from survival mode to legacy mode — recognising the hidden obstacles that can hold us back and embracing simple, practical shifts that nurture your teen’s confidence, values, and sense of direction. Together, we’ll reframe what it means to raise a changemaker: not someone chasing success, but a young person deeply connected to who they are and why they’re here.
Whether you’re in a season of uncertainty or expansion, you’ll leave with renewed clarity, real tools, and the confidence to raise a teen who is happy, confident, and future-ready — while creating a legacy that reflects your values and vision in real time.

How Maths Will Influence Your Teen’s Future: Preparing for Life Beyond Homeschool
Luke D’Astoli of Maths Pathway

You’ll gain clarity on the role maths plays in shaping your teen’s future and how to talk about it in a way that motivates, not overwhelms.
In this workshop, we’ll explore:
How maths opens doors to careers, uni, and everyday problem-solving
How to motivate teens (even the reluctant ones)
Why your language and mindset about maths influence your teen’s confidence
Strategies from Maths Pathway and cognitive load theory that actually work
How to build deep understanding through mastery and rich tasks like 1-2 Nim

Understanding People, Places, and Power: Why Social Studies Matters
Erin Parkinson
WORKSHOP DETAILS
Social studies is about so much more than names, dates, and memorising capitals — it’s about helping teens make sense of the world they live in and see beyond their own little world. It gives them a way to explore how history, geography, politics, culture, economics, human rights, and belief systems shape people’s lives and still affect communities today. In this workshop, we’ll chat about why social studies really matters in the high school years – especially in developing critical thinking and empathy. We’ll share some great topic ideas for teens, and look at how integrating it with English can make learning even more powerful and engaging.

Meet the Graduates
Micarle Callea
WORKSHOP DETAILS
Reflections on homeschooling in hindsight, direct from the mouths of homeschooling graduates.

FOR THE TEENS
Real Talk: How to Be Smart With Money (Without Being Boring)
Gabi Billing of Dashdot
WORKSHOP DETAILS
This isn’t a school lesson. It’s the chat I wish someone had with me when I was your age.
If you’ve ever wanted more freedom, more choices, or just fewer times you have to ask your parents for stuff – this one’s for you.
We’ll talk about how money actually works (without being boring), how to make your money grow (even if you’ve only got 5 bucks), and how to buy cool things and STILL build something for your future.
Think of it like this: if your money was a little robot, would you want it just sitting around? Or would you want it out there, working for you – even while you sleep?
You’ll learn how to take small bits of your pocket money and turn it into more money, invest in things you already love (like brands and creators), and how to avoid the kind of dumb money mistakes most adults wish they could undo.
Take it from me: building something for your future is cool, and learning about it today is just the start. Talk to you soon!
11:00 AM

Breaking the stereotype – maintaining a relationship with your teen
Krystel Watts
WORKSHOP DETAILS
Lets break the societal mould that we won’t get on with our teens – that they will only grunt at us and ignore us. What practical steps can we take to maintain our relationships with our children as they grow into teens and young adults as they spread their wings. Guiding them through their teenage years while home educating – Lets chat about how can we build a friendship with them while still being their parent – because that never stops.
2:00 PM

Middle School- the best time to Unschool
Adele Leach
WORKSHOP DETAILS
The developmental age where they desire independence, curbing the potential hormonal fireworks with autonomy, how your child’s weird obsession can be their elective. And how actively progressing in a single area can be a better option for some children bringing about professional level outcomes- suddenly the minimal education doesn’t matter anymore. Touching also on tertiary study allowing them to obtain cert 3 before their peers.
7:00 PM

Advancing through high school at your own pace, university pathways and early entry options
Amanda Bartle
WORKSHOP DETAILS
That inner voice of doubt, the raised eyebrows from relatives, the outdated advice from old teachers, friends, or well-meaning strangers—it’s time to quiet them all. Yes, homeschooling can lead to university, even for the most competitive degrees. Let’s unpack the real options available to homeschoolers navigating the road to tertiary study.
I’ll guide you through:
– how university degrees are absolutely possible without a traditional Year 12 certificate (yes, even medicine or veterinary science!)
– alternative pathways that bypass the school system entirely
– understanding and meeting prerequisites in flexible, creative ways
– smart strategies for early entry, building pre-uni skills, accessing free subjects, and saving both time and money along the way
– how to help your teen follow their passions first—and figure out whether university is even the right next step
You’ll walk away with the knowledge and confidence to support your child’s learning journey all the way through to university—without ever needing to send them back to school.

Help! My child’s now a tweenager and I don’t know what to do! (Making the transition from teacher to coach)
Aimee Engler
WORKSHOP DETAILS
Did you wake up one day and wonder what happened to your child? You know, the one that used to just along with your plans and wasn’t so opinionated? Whose reactions were predictable but now emotional over nothing? The transition into teenagehood can be a shock, but the question is, have you transitioned with them?
If you have a newly-minted teenager but no idea what you’re doing, or want to be prepared for what’s around the corner, then this workshop will give you the confidence you need by:
• explaining what your teen has transitioned from and is transitioning towards;
• encouraging you to make your own transformation from their teacher to their coach; and
• empowering you with tips and practical strategies.
"I have purchased a ticket to the summit for the last 4 years. Each year it gets better and better and is by far my most valuable parent homeschooling tool. I love that I can go back and rewatch sessions – such a valuable resource and a wonderful way to make homeschooling connections"
Danielle (four time summit attendee)
